What Is Star Wars Celebration?

There has never been a more exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, and Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA will bring fans of all ages together, from all around the world, to celebrate the pop culture phenomenon that is Star Wars — all on the cusp of new Star Wars movies and television shows!  Looking ahead, while celebrating all that has come before, there's something for everyone at Star Wars Celebration!

Celebration - Lucasfilm's love letter to fans - is four fun-filled days of costumes, exhibits, a vibrant, interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, and other surprises celebrating all things Star WarsStar Wars Celebrations deliver a landmark experience where memories are made, families brought together, old friends reunited, and new friendships formed — all in the setting of the ever-evolving Star Wars universe.

When Is Star Wars Celebration?

Star Wars Celebration is April 16-19, 2015.  Its Celebration Experience Exhibit Hall runs the following hours:

  • Thursday, April 16, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday, April 17, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, April 18, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday, April 19, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Note that the Celebration Experience Exhibit Hall closes nightly at 7:00 PM (and 5:00 PM on Sunday), but panels, screenings, and special events continue until 10:00 PM or later on Thursday through Saturday nights.

Where Is Star Wars Celebration?

The next Star Wars Celebration is in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center (800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA).  Like the Rebel Alliance, Star Wars Celebration doesn't have a permanent home.  Instead, it travels around the world to avoid Imperial detection — and to bring Star Wars to as many fans as possible.

Who's The Organizer?

Beginning with Star Wars Celebration V, Star Wars Celebrations have been produced by Lucasfilm in cooperation with the ReedPOP group within Reed Exhibitions, the world's largest event organizer. ReedPOP also runs the New York Comic Con, Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, PAX, Oz Comic-Con, Special Edition: NYC, and Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention.  Other Reed Exhibitions shows include BookExpo America, the London Book Fair, and MIPCOM.  All Star Wars Celebrations are official events produced in partnership with and under the authorization of Lucasfilm Ltd.

Who Needs A Ticket?

All attendees six-years-old and up need a ticket to enter Star Wars Celebration.  Please note, Star Wars Celebration recommends all children under 18 attend with an adult, and all children under 13 must be accompanied by a grown up.  Discounted Child Passes are available for attendees who are between six and 12-years-old.  For full details on tickets, visit Celebration's Tickets page. Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Can I Be Involved?

Star Wars Celebration is an event for fans and would not be possible without the help of fans. We accept fan panels and fan props and count on the support of fans to form our Crew, who help make Celebration a great experience for all.  If you'd like to play a part, there are a number of ways to get involved.

Who Are The Guests?

Star Wars Celebration will feature guests from the Star Wars movie saga, the Star Wars Rebels  television series, the Star Wars Expanded Universe, and across popular culture.  And with new movies on the horizon, the next Star Wars Celebration promises to be even bigger and better than anything you've seen before.  You can view our current guests here, and we're always adding new names as we get closer to April 2015.

What Kind Of Events Can I Expect?

Events and entertainment ranging from grand to intimate, with autograph sessions, behind-the-scenes insights, fan movies, costuming workshops, academic discussions, and sneak peeks at the future of Star Wars are all elements of what happen at Star Wars Celebration. Celebration's panels, screenings, and special events will show off the passion of some of the saga's most dedicated fans and professionals, and a full schedule of events will be publicized approximately one month from the convention.

Can I Take Pictures?

For the most part, you're welcome to take still pictures and video at Star Wars Celebration; however, please note that all audio and visual recording is prohibited during screenings, concerts, and during many live stage shows. Also, please understand that guests may or may not pose for photographs with fans. Guests have a right to their privacy, and if they ask not to have their picture taken, please respect their wishes.

Will I Be On Camera?

Star Wars Celebration attracts local, national, and international press. By attending Star Wars Celebration, you give your consent to be photographed and appear on camera.  You could end up on starwars.com, Entertainment Tonight, or even the evening news on Coruscant.

Will Guests Sign Autographs?

Celebration's scheduled autograph signings will be published one month from the convention, but you can get a glimpse at who will be attending on our Guests page.

Will There Be WiFi?

Yes! There is complimentary Wifi at the Anaheim Convention Center that can be accessed by connecting to the wireless network “Anaheim Free Wifi.” Once connected, open your browser and you will be automatically redirected to the Anaheim Convention Center page.

Can I Bring A Blaster? Can I Buy A Blaster?

For the safety of all convention attendees, volunteers, guests, and staff, there are restrictions on what can be bought, sold, and brought into Star Wars Celebration. Failure to follow this policy may result in your removal from the convention without refund. View our Weapons Policy.

What Does Celebration Think Of Bootlegs?

Star Wars Celebration is produced under the authorization of Lucasfilm Ltd., and the buying and selling of counterfeit / knock-off / unlicensed materials will not be tolerated. Star Wars Celebration showcases the best of Star Wars, and bootlegs have no place in the show. Violation of this rule will result in one warning. A second violation will result in removal from the show without refund.
