Medical Badges

What Is A Medical Badge?

A Medical Badge entitles its wearer and one guest extended access to various elements of Star Wars Celebration. It is designed for attendees with impairments who require additional time or special seating to enjoy events.

What Does The Medical Badge Allow?

Priority Entrance Line

The wearer of a Medical Badge and one guest may queue in a Medical Line at the start of each day. This Medical Line will begin to move into the exhibit hall prior to the general admission line. Each fan wearing a Medical Badge can have up to one guest in their dedicated queue with them.

Priority Stage Lines

The wearer of a Medical Badge and one guest may queue in a Medical Line in front of stages and panel rooms. The Celebration Stage will have designated Medical Line near their main doors clearly marked with signage. Medical Lines will be moved into stages and panel rooms before general seating. Space in stages and panel rooms is limited and first come, first served. Qualifying for a Medical Badge does not guarantee access into all events and screenings.

Priority Stage Seating

The larger stages have reserved wheelchair accessible spaces for attendees with Medical Badges. Please ask a staff member to help guide you to these seats. Our staff in all other panel rooms will do their best to accommodate your seating needs. Please note, all seating is limited, and the Medical Badge does not guarantee you seats.

What Does The Medical Badge Not Allow?

Show Admission

A Medical Badge does not get you or your guest into Star Wars Celebration. You and your guest must have attendee badges to enter the convention and wear your attendee badges at all times along with your Medical Badge. Your Medical Badge will allow you extra amenities, but you must still possess a general badge to attend Celebration.

Guaranteed Seating

We cannot guarantee you seating in any panel rooms. There are limited numbers of seats at all events, and all events are first come, first served. The Medical Badge will allow you more ease to attend, but when an event is full, we're unable to create more seats -- either for general attendees or those with Medical Badges.

Early Seating

Medical lines will be moved into events prior to general attendees; however, the Medical Badge does not allow you early seating or early access to any areas of the convention. The schedule of events and the times that they begin remain the same for all attendees.

Seating For All Your Friends And Family

The Medical Badge allows access to the Medical Line for its wearer and one guest. We understand many fans are traveling to Celebration with friends and family, but we are unable to extend the amenities afforded with the badge to your entire party. If you have a Medical Badge, you may have one guest with you in your priority line and seating, but we ask you not to bring additional friends or family members.

The Medical Badge does not allow priority access to signings at the convention. Guests often sign for limited amounts of time, and to be fair for all attendees, the Medical Badge does not allow an attendee to bypass autographing lines.

What If I'm Late?

This is very important. We begin to move lines into panel rooms and stages approximately 15 minutes before each general session and 30 minutes before sessions on the Celebration Stage. To take advantage of your Medical Badge benefits, you must be in the Medical Line at this time. Once we start seating and this Medical line has moved inside, we are unable to provide any further priority seating and you will need to join the end of the general queue. Again, you must be at any general event at least 15 minutes prior to its start (and 30 minutes before a Celebration Stage event) to receive available Medical seating.
