Tatooine Returns to Celebration.htmlCelebration VI marks the 10-year anniversary of Frank D’iorio’s Diorama Building Workshop at Celebration, and his 5th massive building effort, offering fans not only a chance to build a portion of a huge Star Wars diorama for free, but also the opportunity to take their portion home on Sunday, as the show closes.

Back in 2002, D'iorio let builders in recreating Tatooine in miniature at Celebration II, and to mark the 10th Anniversary, the group will Return to Tatooine, with more than 400 feet of Tatooine diorama planned!

Tatooine Returns to Celebration.htmlThis will be the biggest diorama ever attempted at a Celebration. Centerpieces of the event include a huge, to-scale Jabba’s Sail Barge, and a Jawa Sandcrawler.

“The build is for all ages,” says D’iorio, “with projects ranging from Tatooine houses to moister vaporators to Tusken tents.”

Return to Tatooine will cover more than 8700 square feet at Celebration, and will be easy to find in the Celebration Experience Exhibit Hall, area WB3.

“The group-built sail barge will be shipped to Steve Sansweet’s Rancho Obi-Wan for permanent display after the show,” says D’iorio. “Visitor from around the world can see it live, beyond the 4-day Celebration event.”
