Thanks for your interest in the Star Wars Celebration Art Show. The submission period is now closed.
Artists who have been selected to move to the next round will be asked to submit one or two concepts for their piece for the Art Show, due November 10, 2022. Concepts will be evaluated by a team of artistic talent at Lucasfilm who will not know which piece was submitted by which artist.
Because all artwork will be selected with the artists’ names hidden, we would encourage the submitted concepts to be as close to final as possible, since a rough sketch – without knowing the style and reputation of the artist -- will often be at a disadvantage next to finished works.
Lucasfilm will notify everyone if they have been selected or not by December 5, 2022.
Final art, to be used in the promotions and in the commemorative guide, will be due February 6, 2022. Artists’ headshots and updated bios will be due at this time as well.
Star Wars Celebration Art Show Dates in Brief:
- August 8, 2022: Submissions of interest begin. Send to [email protected]
- September 9, 2022: Submission acceptance ends (none accepted after this date)
- September 12, 2022: Artists notified whether they can advance to round two
- November 10, 2022: All concepts due
- December 5, 2022: Final decision on artists for Celebration 2022 Art Show
- February 6, 2023: Final art due
